We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to oversee the operations of our care home. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality care for our residents, particularly those with learning disabilities. This role requires strong leadership skills, a compassionate approach to care, and the ability to manage a team effectively in a nursing home or assisted living environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Supervise staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of residents.
- Foster a positive environment that promotes the well-being and dignity of all residents.
- Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for residents.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with legal requirements and company policies.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team, encouraging professional development and training opportunities.
Experience
- Proven experience in a managerial role within a care home or similar environment is essential.
- A background in nursing or relevant qualifications in health and social care is highly desirable.
- Experience in supervising staff and managing teams effectively.
- Strong knowledge of LD care practices and senior care regulations.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on building positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.
